Rubber: Ivorian Sifca opens second plant in Ghana
Sifca, Côte d’Ivoire’s largest agro-industrial group, continues its expansion in Ghana with the launch of its second rubber processing plant in Tsibu, in the Ahanta district (West of the country). At a total cost of 25 million euros, the new unit was officially inaugurated on February 28 and should, according to the management of Ghana Rubber Estates ltd (GREL), the Ghanaian subsidiary of Sifca, double the capacity previously installed. GREL is the leading player in the rubber sector in Ghana, with a 15,000 hectare concession in the country and 4,000 employees.
